Mikhailov & Partners Provides Information Support for Moscow International Foreign Investment Forum
Mikhailov & Partners provided press support for the Moscow International Foreign Investment Forum, which was held on 17-18 October 2012 to become the first event at that level organized by the Foreign Economic and International Relations Department of the Government of Moscow. Over 100 journalists from leading Russian and foreign media covered the events of the two-day forum, which brought together more than 2,000 participants from federal and regional governments, heads of Russian and global companies, investors and top international experts.
The central topics of the Forum’s discussion platforms were state investment policy and the problem of attracting foreign investment to Russia.
The speakers during the event were Arkadiy Dvorkovich, deputy chairman of the Russian Government, Andrey Sharonov, Moscow’s deputy mayor for economic policy, Sergey Cheremin, head of the Foreign Economic and International Relations Department of the city of Moscow, Boris Titov, the RF President’s ombudsman for entrepreneurs’ rights, Konstantin Romodanovskiy, head of the Russian Federal Migration Service, Anton Ivanov, chairman of Russia’s Supreme Court of Arbitration, Mikhail Barschevskiy, the Russian Government’s authorized representative in the highest courts, Nikolay Nikiforov, minister of telecommunications and mass media, and others.
The Forum was also attended by representatives of regional administrations, who had the opportunity to learn about best international practice in attracting foreign capital. The head of Upper Austria’s provincial government and the director of the Foreign Economic Relations Department of Bavaria’s Economics Ministry spoke to their Russian colleagues about their positive experience of working with investors.
