Mikhailov & Partners Shortlisted for PROBA-IPRA GWA 2014 Award
Samsung’s Olympic project, which was run with support from Mikhailov & Partners’ Corporate Communications Practice, has been shortlisted for the PROBA-IPRA GWA 2014 Award in two categories: best campaign using digital tools and best corporate PR project.
Samsung has been a Worldwide Olympic Partner since 1988. In 2014, the Company worked hard to engage spectators and fans around the world in the Samsung brand’s unique world of opportunities. The Mikhailov & Partners team was responsible for designing and implementing a PR strategy to achieve this goal.
The result, according to Samsung, was that its Sochi project was the most successful in the entire history of the Company’s partnership with the international Olympic movement. A study by the Progression agency shows that the Samsung brand was one of the undisputed leaders in terms of media presence during the Olympics, with 136 mentions per day! The GALAXY studio in the Olympic Park, meanwhile, was visited by around 240,000 spectators – the highest number ever in the entire history of Winter Games sponsorship.
The winners of the PROBA-IPRA GWA 2014 award will be announced during the Baltic Weekend international communications forum on 25th September 2014.
