Master Class from Mikhailov & Partners for Participants in 9th Eurasian PR Event
On November 24, 2011 the 9th annual “Eurasian PR event” conference opened in Almaty. Its aim is to present the best combined experience and advanced techniques in the field of public relations from across the Eurasian space.
Each day of the busy conference programme was devoted to a specific topic. Day 1, which was organized with the support of the National Association for Public Relations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mikhail & Partners. Strategic Communications Management, was about PR and IR support for IPOs. This is a particularly topical subject, given the expectation of a new wave of public IPOs requiring precise actions and the use of effective PR and IR tools by the specialists to support the placement process.
This year the conference has changed its format and scale: for the first time a PR marathon has been organized through four regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as master classes with participants from other countries via videoconferencing facilities.
The conference’s opening session featured a joint master class via a TV link-up to Moscow with Aleksandr Dmitriev, director of communications at NOMOS-BANK, and Andrey Bykasov, accounts manager at Mikhailov & Partners’ Financial Communications Practice. They spoke about Effective Management of Information Flows during IPOs, using the example of NOMOS-BANK’s successful IPO – the first international placement by a private Russian bank.
Mikhailov & Partners consulting company is ranked amongst the top three Russian IR and financial communications consultancies by overall number and size of IPOs supported in the first half-year of 2011, according to Offerings.ru, an independent information and research resource. The Company has offered its clients IPO communications support services since 2004 and has acted as a consultant for share placements on the London Stock Exchange, the RTS and the MICEX by Russian companies including NOMOS-BANK, GMS Group, TransContainer, VTB, Sedmoy Kontinent, Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport, OGK-2 and OGK-5.
